Helping Harvest’s Maternal Health Program is a two-year pilot program designed with expectant and postpartum individuals in mind. Helping Harvest is working with medical offices to refer qualifying individuals to the program, where they will receive assistance seeking out local pantries and a referral to relevant assistance programs. Individuals that qualify for the Maternal Health Program can contact the Helping Harvest Referral Line at 610-926-5802 ext. 206 to receive the help they need to obtain high nutrient foods.
Maternal Health Food Boxes are provided by Helping Harvest to local agencies that support a high volume of pregnant and postpartum individuals facing food insecurity and will be given to those that meet the criteria for the Maternal Health Program. This new program is made possible by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s Healthy Food Access grant.
