Call Helping Harvest at 610-926-5802 x206 to be guided to food assistance in your local community. With more than 350 charitable food program partners throughout Berks and Schuylkill counties, our staff will assist you in finding the help you need close to home. To see if you are income eligible for food assistance, please refer to these income guidelines.
SENIOR FOOD BOX PROGRAM
If you are 60 years of age or older and want to see if you are income eligible for this program, please refer to these income guidelines. If you are income eligible, please call Lori Lowery, Helping Harvest’s Senior Services Manager, at 610-926-5802 ext. 203 or email LLowery@HelpingHarvest.org to inquire about receiving an application to participate in this program.
* Please note – Helping Harvest is allotted a specific amount of boxes to distribute monthly. This program typically has a wait list. It may take several months until you begin receiving a box following completion of the application.
SNAP BENEFITS
Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank is happy to assist residents of Berks and Schuylkill counties in applying for SNAP benefits. Applications can be completed over the phone or in-person, based on individual needs. Helping Harvest’s SNAP Outreach Coordinator will walk individuals and families through the application process step by step and will provide follow up after submission. To see if you are income eligible for SNAP (food stamps) benefits, please refer to these income guidelines.
