Donations received from individuals and corporations, like you, allow us to expand our mission to reach under served populations and locations.

 

  • 12% of the population of Berks County and Schuylkill County live in poverty and thus face hunger issues.
  • Of those living in poverty, nearly 24,500 are children under the age of 18.
  • More than 38,000 school-aged children in Berks and Schuylkill Counties are eligible for the National School Lunch Program’s free and reduced lunches. This represents more than 52% of the population of school-aged children in Berks County and Schuylkill County.
  • More than 110,000 people in Berks and Schuylkill Counties qualify for food assistance – defined as living within 185% of the poverty guideline.
